Job Position

Responsibilities:

·         Catch chickens by hand in barns and safely load them into crates and onto transport trucks

·         Safely hand over, lift, and/or stack crated birds (approximately 25 kg per crate)

·         Monitor birds for signs of basic poultry disease or abnormal behavior and report concerns to the supervisor

·         Follow all animal handling, workplace safety, and sanitation procedures

·         Work efficiently as part of a team to meet loading schedules

Requirements

·         Physically capable of performing demanding and repetitive tasks

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·         Reliable, punctual, and dependable

·         Strong teamwork and communication skills

·         Commitment to maintaining a positive and healthy work environment

·         Previous poultry or farm experience is considered an asset, but not required

·         Wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment suitable for the weather conditions and work environment.

·         Maintain proper handling procedures by carrying a minimum of 2 birds and a maximum of 3 birds per hand at all times.

· Handle and treat birds with care while strictly following all animal welfare standards and requirements
